The Gloucestershire Gay & Lesbian Community (GGLC)

49 years old and the longest running group in the country

Our aims...

The Gloucestershire Gay and Lesbian Community is a friendly social group that welcomes people of all sexualities and ages. The group aims to provide a meeting place for people who want to meet others similar to themselves in a relaxed social environment without the pressures associated with the gay bars and clubs. We are supported by our own fundraising and do not receive any grants or outside funding.

The GGLC aims to provide the following:

  • To promote the interests, dignity and well-being of gay men and lesbians in and around Gloucestershire;
  • To provide social meetings and other social events; and
  • To provide support to any campaigns relevant to the aims of the society in relation to issues affecting gay men and lesbians.

Meet us...

The GGLC meets in a Gloucester City Centre location on the first Thursday of each month at 7.30 pm. New members and visitors who would like to join us can contact the committee in advance via the group email info@gglc.co.uk or phone 0794 2383275.
